Getting It Right
-
High quality assessment is the essential foundation for successful talent development, because it has the greatest impact on performance, productivity, retention and, thus, organisational prosperity.
-
So, provide your HR and other managers with a powerful strategic toolset for the most effective talent management.
Managers of functional areas generally will not have the training or skills necessary to facilitate effective talent development. So, provide them with the information they need to understand, develop and retain their team members.
We can help you do this, using an assessment system that that can be tailored to the specific needs and values of your organisation, and to the particular needs of individual functional areas.
We can show your managers how to conduct effective performance appraisal and employee development planning, and so facilitate high performing and fully engaged employees.
Assessment Process
Individuals complete a single questionnaire only and the results of this are used for all assessment needs – recruitment, development, identifying high potential, leadership, employee career planning, talent pipeline and succession planning. Together with highly automated processes, this saves considerable time and cost in talent management, whilst providing constant ‘real time’ data.
The same assessment process is used for both talent recruitment and talent development.

The Individual
-
The process starts with a 30-minutes online questionnaire
-
Employees are assessed against key job success factors for their current specific job or/and another internal job for which they are being considered
-
The system will automatically provide an assessment score for an employee against the specific job
-
This is extensively validated for accurately assessing job suitability
-
Reports provide in-depth insights, including powerful Paradox analysis
-
The assessment can include fit with your Company Culture and Values
The assessment measures interests, work values, task preferences, motivations, attitudes and other issues related to work satisfaction. This focus on behavioural competencies and job suitability factors enables you to comprehensively and accurately assess a person against a specific job.
In addition, we can carry out High Performance Benchmarking exercises, assess current job holders against specific-job success criteria and use those benchmark success factors to identify the specific development needs of each individual.
The assessment will also Identify Leadership Potential for fast-track development.
Individual Development Reports
- The most detailed and informative reports in the industry
- Reports are specific to each employee or team and each position
- See how satisfied an employee is and which responsibilities provide the greatest personal motivation and job satisfaction. Employees who enjoy 75% or more of their daily activities are three times more likely to succeed in their jobs and stay longer than employees who don’t.
- The suite of reports available provide a comprehensive insight of each employee for assessment and development purposes
- The Job Success Analysis report provides a complete analysis of an employee’s strengths and weaknesses against all relevant factors for a specific job, showing the potential positive and negative impact of each factor or trait on job performance
- Harrison Paradox Analysis provide managers with an in-depth understanding of a candidate’s work-related behaviours. It is the only assessment system that applies paradox analysis.
- The Engagement and Retention report analyses how to increase engagement through understanding employee expectations and related organisational behaviours
- The Development for Position report gives training recommendations relating to particular personal attitudes, tendencies and behaviours to improve specific job performance
- The How to Manage, Develop and Retain report provides managers with practical guidelines for motivating, retaining, and coaching individual employees
Paradox is the result of integrating two seemingly contradictory behaviours that both contribute to an individual‘s success. For example, a traditional bipolar approach assumes that the more Diplomatic you are, the less Frank you are. In fact, you can be both Frank and Diplomatic or neither. Individuals who have balanced paradoxes are more likely to succeed – a high score for both Frank and Diplomatic indicates “Forthright Diplomacy” or, put another way, “Balanced Versatility”. A low score for both indicates Poor Communication skills.

High Performance Benchmarking
Tap into the success factors that enable your high performers to succeed. Our High Performance Benchmarking highlights the behavioural factors that differentiate high performers. Then use this information for your recruitment selection and talent development
Performance benchmarking might include 15 to 20 key performance indicators. This serves as a set of references for achieving specific performance goals and activities. Different business measures can be used, for example, a customer-based measurement might evaluate the ability to acquire or retain customers, whilst a financial-based measurement may examine performance based on sales, profits or increased returns on assets.
We will work with you to identify the key performance indicators relating to a specific job in your organisation, such as sales, and the resultant customised job-criteria set (job success formula) can be used as a benchmark for assessing all individuals in or applying for that job.
Benchmark Top Performers
- Use the Harrison assessment system to identify the key factors that make people high performers in a particular job
- This high performance job-criteria set that can then be used to:
• assess each member of the team against the benchmark job profile
• guide each team member toward better performance
• review team reports and revise team development plan and goals
• accurately predict job performance for new recruits
- Grow your talent through accurate scientific measurement!
