Whether it’s identifying leadership potential or building leadership skills, using the powerful Harrison assessment system together with related consultancy solutions, we can help you address your important leadership challenges.
Identify Leadership Potential
Every individual’s assessment for recruitment or development includes measurement of leadership competencies. Thus all candidates, both internal and external, applying for a job in your organisation will be screened, and anyone with leadership potential will be identified before they even attend an interview.
- Identify new recruits and all other individuals in your organisation showing leadership potential
- Vary their development plan as appropriate
- Track their leadership development progress
- Tailor recruitment assessment, with an emphasis on leadership capability or potential if desired
- For new recruits, the How to Manage, Develop and Retain report will provide managers with an initial plan for motivating, retaining, and coaching the person
Building Leadership Skills
Harrison assessments enable leadership to be evaluated in two different ways that provide in-depth and objective insight into a person’s leadership capabilities and development needs.
This same process will address the specific development needs of high-flyers.
- A Leadership Profile will assess a person against a comprehensive Leadership Competencies set, which covers a range of leadership-related traits that are individually weighted in terms of leadership significance
- Evaluation against a specific job would highlight a person’s leadership capabilities for a particular role
- Related Competency, Paradox and Job Suitability reports will highlight leadership suitability and areas for development
- Paradox Analysis is particularly useful in this regard. It provides managers with a clear understanding of their own behaviours that will enable them to become more effective leaders. It even includes a mapping of their stress behaviours and how those impact other employees. By mapping managers’ behaviours against the key paradoxical principles of leadership, managers can immediately start with practical actions for coaching performance, retaining talent and building effective working relationships
